Private First Class Eddie Garcia is a Latin-American character created by Carlito in Early 2006 who quickly became the most requested voice of the Madhouse show. He is a former soldier in the US Army and served in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Garcia was subsequently discharged (presumably dishonorably) due to a range of incidents. He has claimed several reasons for his discharge including dropping a mine on his foot (for the 3rd time), shooting several of his own men on accident (for the 3rd time) and calling an air strike on the USS Abraham Lincoln. He also once claimed to have pulled out the pin on a grenade, throwing the pin instead of the grenade itself, then, after realizing his mistake, handing the grenade to his commander and then running away while saying "feets don't fails me now". The Garcia character was unofficially retired in March of 2007 although a return has not been ruled out as of yet.
Origins
The Garcia character's origins stem from two childhood friends of Carlito. Eddie "S" was a former recruit for the US Army who was denied entry to boot camp after failing his physical due to health reasons. This "real" Eddie has a similar voice and method of speaking to the character Eddie Garcia. Eddie "S" made a surprise call-in appearance in the fall of 2007 in which his influence on the Eddie Garcia character was discussed at length.
The other influence is Carlito's former acquaintance named Mike "S", who joined the Army after failing his high school vocational testing several times as well as scoring poor results on his ASVAB assessments. Mike was discharged from the service after going AWOL for over a year in South America after having fathered a child with a female member of the military. Mike "S" was the subject of a pre-Madhouse prank known as Carlito's most influential prank call ever after it lead to Mike being pulled out of the front lines in Bosnia via helicopter and then flown to Germany to verify he was not dead.
